A Sweet + Unforgettable BabyWave Moment
Your first 3D/4D ultrasound is truly magical — it’s the moment you finally see your baby’s little features, movements, and personality starting to shine. Here’s what to expect so you can relax and enjoy every second.
Before You Arrive
A little prep helps us get the clearest, cutest images of your baby.
Start drinking plenty of water in the days before, — good hydration boosts amniotic fluid and improves image clarity.
About an hour before your session, grab a light snack.
Then 10–15 minutes before your appointment, sip a little juice (apple, grape, or orange all work great!) to help wake baby up for their big moment.
Wear something comfy and easy to lift over your belly — a loose shirt with soft, easy-to move fabric on your legs like leggings, joggers or a dress. (We’ve got towels to keep you covered and to keep the gel we’ll use off of your clothes).
During the Session
When you arrive, we’ll bring you into our cozy Baby Wave viewing room— relaxed lighting, comfy seating, and plenty of space for anyone you’d like to bring along.
You’ll get to watch your baby in real time:
We’ll save still shots that will be 3D views of baby in a color scale, as well as some in 2D black and white
4D video captures movement — yawns, stretches, smiles, and all the tiny “aww” moments
If baby decides to be shy or sleepy, no stress. We’ll gently reposition, wiggle, wait, and try different angles until we capture the sweetest shots we can.
What You’ll Take Home
Depending on your package, you’ll leave with:
Printed photos in 2D and 3D/4D
HD video of the whole scan with audio of baby’s heartbeat recorded after 13 weeks
Digital images to share with family and friends
Many moms tell us these become their favorite keepsakes — perfect for announcements, nursery décor, or tucked into a memory book.
After Your Appointment
